North Chatham Community Day 2023

North Chatham Community Day is scheduled October 14, 2023 at 9am

Community Day is coming!

Our annual North Chatham Community Day will happen on October 14th. Activities at the church will run from 9:00-2:00 and include the Clothing Barn, tailgate sales, church sales, quilt show in the sanctuary, sweet treat sale, lunch, and silent auction. We’ll have some fun and games set up for kids on the front lawn and the NC Fire Company will have a truck there as well! Neighbors of Northern Columbia County will have an informational table so you can learn about their activities and consider joining. Hopefully some of our other community organizations will be participating also.
If you are considering having a yard sale this year, the 14th should be a good day to hold it. With any luck we will have lots of folks coming to North Chatham and our handouts & publicity will encourage folks to go through the hamlet to see what’s for sale. If you have stuff for sale and would like to help the church at the same time, you can be part of the tailgate sale. You bring your vehicle and stuff to sell, take home what doesn’t sell, and split the proceeds 50/50 with the church. Please contact Roy Denniston if you want to do this.
We are also looking for donations of items for the church to sell on the 14th. Once again this year we will be selling small toys and kitchen items. If you have things like this to donate, please hang onto them for now. We will have some designated times in  late September/early October when you can drop them off, and will publicize these opportunities as the time gets closer.
What can you do to help? In addition to the above, please save the date! Even if you don’t have stuff to sell we would love to see you. Let your family and friends know about the event – it’s been enjoyable each year and with good weather it should be again. You can go to local businesses and ask them for a gift card or certificate that we can offer at the silent auction. You can bake goodies for the “sweet treat” sale. You can also plan to help for part or all of the day – our biggest area of need will be in the kitchen and dining room.
Thanks in advance for whatever you can do and we hope to see you on October 14th!
